About

The Multi-Variable Regional Comparison Feature is designed for retrieving topics for different geographies to aid in making comparisons. Select any number of variables from a single table, and then specify your table options such as geography type, age group, or gender (if applicable). Results will be shown for all geographies of the selected type and can be easily exported to excel for further work.

Table Definitions [show]
Structural type of dwelling
Refers to the structural characteristics and/or dwelling configuration, that is, whether the dwelling is a single-detached house, an apartment in a high-rise building, a row house, a mobile home, etc. In 2006, improvements to the enumeration process and changes in structural type classification affect the historical comparability of the 'structural type of dwelling' variable. In 2006, 'apartment or flat in a duplex' replaces 'apartment or flat in a detached duplex' and includes duplexes attached to other dwellings or buildings. This is a change from the 2001 Census where duplexes attached to other dwellings or buildings were classified as an 'apartment in a building that has fewer than five storeys'.
Primary Household Maintainer
First person in the household identified as the one who pays the rent or the mortgage, or the taxes, or the electricity bill, and so on, for the dwelling.
